Have you ever wondered why sometimes CS2 players go crazy over specific skins? Well, you’re about to discover one of the most sought-after knife skins in the game. Drum roll… The legendary “Fire and Ice” – Karambit | Marble Fade!
In article you will find:
Karambit | Marble Fade Patterns Explained
Let’s start with the basics, shall we? Almost every Karambit | Marble Fade comes with a beautiful mix of red, blue, and yellow colors swirling across its curved blade. Looks like a tie-dye. Like all other CS2 knife types, these have pattern indexes, which are unique numbers that determine exactly how these colors are laid out on the blade.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Some Marble Fade patterns have more red, others more blue, and the way these colors blend together can make a massive difference in both looks and value. And yeah, it makes one of the best knife-gloves combos with Specialist Gloves | Marble Fade! So, about those Fire and Ice Karambits in CS2.
Ice and Fire Patterns of Karambit | Marble Fade
What makes the Fire and Ice Karambits special is that these rare beauties show only red and blue colors on the blade, no yellow in sight! These patterns are ranked in “maxes”. They’re like tiers. And there’s one that rules them all – pattern #412, the legendary 1st Max. It’s got the most red.
Below that, you’ve got your 2nd Max patterns (like #16, #146, and others), 3rd Max, and 4th Max. Each tier down of Fire and Ice Karambit Marble Fade means less blue or a slightly different color balance, but they’re all incredibly beautiful.

Karambit | Marble Fade Pattern Difference
Spotting the differences in Marble Fade Karambits (Fire and Ice) is the fun part! As you already know, the main thing that sets patterns apart is how much blue appears compared to red. Generally, the more blue you see, the more valuable the pattern is.

But there’s also something called “Fake Fire & Ice” patterns. They might look similar at first glance but have a sneaky bit of yellow hanging around the tip. Or a lot of it around the handle’s ring.
How to Get a Karambit | Marble Fade?
Want to get your hands on one of these beautiful blades? There are a few ways to get Fire and Ice Karambits in CS2.
- Case opening
You can unbox the Ice and Fire Karambit in Chroma, Chroma 2, and Shiny Knives cases. And yeah, the chances are incredibly slim! Not only do you need to get lucky enough to unbox a Karambit (which is rare enough), but you also need it to be a Marble Fade, and then you need it to have a Fire & Ice pattern.
- Steam market
Your second option is buying directly from the Steam market or trusted third-party marketplaces. This is probably the most straightforward way if you’ve got the budget for it. Double-check the pattern index before buying to know exactly what you’re getting.
- Trading
Lastly, you could try trading with other players. If you’ve got some valuable skins already, you can work your way up to the Fire and Ice Karambit through clever trading.
Oh, and don’t forget to test the knife before buying it! You can use our CS2 knife commands list to check out all cool patterns of Fire and Ice Karambits in-game using a console command.
How Much Does a Karambit | Marble Fade Cost?
The regular Marble Fade Karambits are expensive, with a price of around $1,500. But Fire and Ice Karambit patterns are in a different league. These prices might make your wallet cry a little!
The 1st Max cost from $13,000 to $19,000. Yes, you read that right. That’s enough to buy a car, but some collectors consider it worth every penny. The 2nd Max come at $3,600 to $3,900. Still extremely pricey, but a fraction of the 1st Max.
The 3rd Max is around $3,000. The 4th Max is somewhere at $2,500, and the 10th Max is $2,000 to $2,200.
The prices kind of level out after the 4th Max because the differences between these lower tiers become more subtle. If someone’s selling a Fire & Ice pattern way below these prices, it might be a “Fake Fire & Ice.” Always check the pattern index!
Karambit | Marble Fade’s Float and Wear Values
The Karambit | Marble Fade is somewhat special when it comes to wear because it only comes in the two best conditions possible. The “float value” is a number that tells you how scratched your knife is. For the Marble Fade, these numbers run from 0.00 to 0.08. That’s a pretty tight range!
- Factory New (0.00 – 0.03): These blades look pristine, fresh out of the box. If you’re dropping big money on a Fire & Ice pattern, you probably want one of these.
- Minimal Wear (0.03 – 0.08): Still looking great but with just a bit more character. You’ll only see a few minor marks, even at its worst (close to 0.08).
Now, if you’re looking at a knife with a wear closer to 0.08, you might notice a few scratches in the middle of the blade or marks around the ring part of the knife. Anyway, even a “worn” “Fire and Ice” – Karambit | Marble Fade still looks amazing because the wear range is so limited.
Odds of Getting an Ice and Fire Karambit
To be straight, the odds of unboxing an Ice and Fire Karambit are… well, pretty brutal. The odds of getting any knife are already super low, they’re less than a 1% chance per case. Once you somehow beat those odds and get a knife, you need it to be specifically a Karambit. There are several different types of knives in Chroma cases, so that’s more luck that you need.
Even if you manage to get a Marble Fade Karambit (congratulations, by the way!), you still need it to have a Fire & Ice pattern. So yeah, your odds are not that good.
There are premium cases like Neptune that offer higher chances of unboxing great Ice and Fire Karambit knives. Check those out, too!
Future Market Value of Karambit Ice and Fire
Marble Fade Karambits (Fire and Ice) have been valuable since their release in 2015. There are several solid reasons to believe they’ll keep their prestigious status. High-tier patterns of “Fire and Ice” – Karambit | Marble Fade are becoming harder to find as collectors hold onto them and most owners of top-tier patterns treat them as long-term investments.

Pattern #412, known as the 1st Max, is the rarest you can get. This is the most sought-after pattern because it perfectly balances red and blue colors.
People love it because of its unique curved blade that looks like a claw. The animations are super smooth, and the colorful patterns just look amazing in-game.
Inspect the knife in-game or through the marketplace. Look for the pattern index number in the float information. Then check if this number matches any known Fire & Ice patterns.
