The Gut Knife in CS2 isn’t the most popular knife out there. Most players might consider it more of “an entry-level” knife. This means you are ready to step away from the default knife and start carrying something better. Gut Knives tend to be on the cheaper side, though occasionally, you can catch a few pros using them in tournaments.

The good news is, the Gut Knife does actually have some very legit skins. And at a more affordable price than some of the more popular knives, it may be a good investment. Today, we’re going to take a look at our top 10 favorite Gut Knife skins.

Why people prefer one skin over the other

There are many knife types in cs2. But before we drop our list, we’d like to discuss why people choose one skin over another. It can be a single reason or a combination of any of the points below:

  1. Aesthetic appeal – this often includes design, colors, and themes. Players usually buy a skin simply because they love how it looks.
  2. Rarity and limited editions – a rare skin is often used to show off a player’s financial status or level of luck.
  3. Investment – Players can often buy a skin and not even use it. It’s the value they are after. Either to hold onto it until the price rises or to flip it quickly to acquire additional less valuable skins.
  4. Community and trends – Current trends and popularity also play a factor. Most players want to use what’s hot at the moment.
  5. Emotional connections – Maybe a player had one of the best games of their life and now refuses to use any other skin. There can be a long list of reasons someone has an emotional connection to any specific skin.

Join us as we count down the best gut knife cs2. Starting with number 10! FYI, we’re removing any emotional connections we have while creating our list.

Best Gut Knife in CS2

To create our list of skins, we had to dive deeply into the 25 Gut Knife skins currently available. We’ll use points from the reasons why people buy a specific skin listed above to create our list. Though any list of “what’s best” is always a bit subjective, we believe our list can stand toe-to-toe with any list online in terms of debating.

So, Let’s jump right in and kick off this list at number 10. Yes, we are starting at number 10, as we don’t want you to see our top choice of top gut knife cs2 and bounce right away.

Starting off our list at number 10

Case Hardened

Case Hardened Gut Knife CS2 skin with a stained wooden handle and a blade covered in mixed blue, gold, and purple hues.

The Case Hardened skin is first and last on our list. This gut knife cs2 skin has a mixture of blue, purple, and gold hues with the most commonly stained brown wooden handle.

We place the Case Hardened counter strike gut knife skin at number 9 on our list because, while the mixture of hues is very nice, they just don’t go as well together as some of the skins further down our list. In our opinion, as the float rises, this skin becomes more and more attractive—not to mention less expensive.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.00 to 1.00

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $173.69

Overall thoughts: The Case Hardened skin almost didn’t make our list. However, the “Battle-Scarred” skin is the cheapest and most attractive version. You can also save money to acquire the best version of this skin.

Almost first on our list. Meaning, number 9

Autotronic

CS2 Gut Knife Autotronic skin featuring a futuristic red and silver blade with a carbon fiber handle.

The Autotronic skin features a combination of shiny metal with vibrant red accents. The carbon fiber handle is different from the more traditional stained wooden handle, which seems to give the skin a more modern, tech-savvy look.

We place the Autotronic skin at number 9 because we love the stylistic accents on the blade. It really adds to the unique feel of this skin. Though the vibrant colors tend to fade as the float increases, we still like how it looks at every range.

Added: June 16, 2016

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.85

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $169.41

Overall thoughts: We love the Autotronic skin and the uniqueness of the blade. Over the last year, the price has significantly dropped. Now may be a great time to pick up a great skin. If the price goes back to ATH, you may be able to 3x your money. However, it can also drop to its ATL, which would see you losing 50%. Worth the risk? Might be.

Coming in at number 8

Lore

Lore Gut Knife skin in CS2 showcasing a golden Norse-inspired design with intricate patterns and rich detail.

Inspired by Norse mythology, the Lore gut knife cs2 skin features an intricate design with a sophisticated color palette. This really creates a luxurious feeling without having a luxurious price tag.

We only place the Lore skin at number 8 because as the float increases, it really does a number on this skin. At “Battle-Scarred”, the Lore has all but lost its luxurious feeling. Having said that, something so beautiful had to have a spot on this list.

Added: June 16, 2016

Float value range: 0.00 – 0.65

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $155.12

Overall thoughts: Year-to-date, the price has remained pretty consistent. So, if you have the money to purchase a “Factory New” version, do so. If not, keep scrolling for better options at a lower price.

Lucky number 7.

Slaughter

Slaughter Gut Knife skin in CS2 with an aggressive blood-red blade and a stained wooden handle.

The Slaughter skin looks very aggressive. It mostly likely has something to do with its blood-red color. The red goes well with the stained wooden handle.

As aggressive as the name sounds, we like the Slaughter skin at number 7 because it’s bold and beautiful. The float doesn’t really take anything away at any value. And with a drop chance of just 0.26%, the skin is relatively rare.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.01 to 0.26

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $149.34

Overall thoughts: If you aren’t bothered by the sight of blood, this skin may be for you. The visual difference between “Factory New” and “Minimal Wear” is hardly noticeable. However, you’ll for sure notice the price difference.

In at number 6

Marble Fade

CS2 Marble Fade Gut Knife skin with vibrant red, blue, and yellow marbled swirls and a polished blade.

The Marble Fade skin has a multicolored design. Its vibrant colors include bright red, blue, and yellow. The swirling pattern gives this skin a sort of marbled look.

We decided not to put Marble Fade on the second half of our top 10 list simply because there are 5 skins we like more. This is a legit skin and a good buy as it has a very low float range. This skin hardly changes in appearance.

Added: January 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $197.81

Overall thoughts: This is a beautiful skin. However, we just wish it had a slightly more unique handle.

Midway on our list. Coming in at number 5

Gamma Doppler

Gamma Doppler Gut Knife in CS2 displaying gemstone-like green phases with a reflective, marbled blade.

The Gamma Doppler is a very interesting skin as it comes in 4 different phases and an Emerald version. Each version is a combination of different hues of green; from light green to a green almost dark enough to be considered black. Its marbling effect is visually captivating that creates a gemstone-like appearance.

We like this skin at the halfway point on our list because, like the Marble Fade, the float doesn’t affect the appearance at all. Also, the value of the skin increases as the float goes up.

Added: June 16, 2016

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $242.02

Overall thoughts: There isn’t a huge difference in design as the float changes. We recommend getting whichever fits into your budget.

Number 4

Crimson Web

CS2 Crimson Web Gut Knife skin with a striking red and black spider web pattern and a matte black handle.

The Crimson Web counter strike gut knife skin has a striking red and black web design. The handle isn’t the typical stained wooden handle. Instead, it’s matte black, which nicely accents the rest of the design.

We like the Crimson Web skin at number 4 because it’s eye-catching. However, at “Battle-Scarred,” the float almost completely removes all of the color. The red that remains looks a lot like blood. This skin ranges from super clean to banged up and bloody.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.06 to 0.80

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $123.19

Overall thoughts: We like this skin at any float value. And right now, it’s kind of a bargain from its ATH of almost $3,000.

Roaring in at number 3.

Tiger Tooth

Tiger Tooth Gut Knife skin in CS2 with fierce black tiger stripes over a yellow-orange blade and wood handle.

Tiger Tooth is a tiger-themed skin. Its yellow-orange blade with black tiger stripes gives it a distinctive, aggressive look. This skin does sport the common stained wooden handle, but it fits this design better than it does on any other skin.

The Tiger Tooth skin is number 3 because it looks clean and dangerous. The maximum float value is almost nothing. So, the float doesn’t really change the skin at all. On top of all of that, it’s one of the most reasonably priced skins on our list.

Added: January 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $199.11

Overall thoughts: What you get for the value makes this skin one of our top choices—not number 1 or 2, but pretty close.

Better than 8 others on our list. At number 2

Doppler

Doppler Gut Knife CS2 skin featuring a glossy, color-shifting blade with hues of deep blue, purple, and red.

The Doppler has a skin that features a dynamic, color-shifting style. It can range from deep blue and purple to bright red and black. This depends on the specific phase.

This skin is number 2 on our list because it is beautiful at any phase. The blade has a glossy, marble-like finish that really makes it stand out. Also, like the Tiger Tooth skin, the float almost does not affect the skin.

Added: January 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ is available: yes

Starting price: $180.89

Overall thoughts: Beautiful, affordable, with style options and almost 0 float range. Like the skin right above this one, we recommend buying the cheaper version. You won’t really notice the difference.

Best of the best. At number 1

Fade

Fade Gut Knife skin in CS2 with a smooth gradient from bright yellow to deep purple on a polished blade.

The Fade is number 1. The best skin currently available. Despite the common stained wooden handle, the Fade skin has a beautiful gradient that transitions smoothly from bright yellow at the base to deep red and purple at the tip of the blade. This also goes very well with the brown color of the handle.

This skin is number 1 on our list because it’s the best gut knife cs2. Though a bit more expensive than numbers 2 and 3, it does share the float value range, which means, you can enjoy the beauty of the design at any range.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.08

StatTrak™ is available: yes

Starting price: $312.11

Overall thoughts: We love this skin the most. However, it’s a bit pricey compared to other skins on this list. But that makes sense, as the best of something is rarely the cheapest.
