Best P250 Skins in CS2

#CS2 (CS:GO) Skins
#Top Skins

While talking about the best pistols in CS2, the P250 is, at least, always in the conversation. And the simple fact that pros often use it, it’s tough to argue that the P250 isn’t one of the best pistols. However, just deciding to use the P250 can be challenging; deciding which skin is a whole other endeavor.

To help with that, today we’re looking at the best P250 skins in CS2.

Best P250 Skins in CS2

There is no doubt that once you decide that the P250 is the best pistol for you, you’ll still need to decide which skin to go with. And with almost 50 CS2 P250 skins available, you’ll still need to determine which skin is best for you. Your choice has a lot to do with your aesthetic style preference and budget. If you trade skins to make money, which skins are trending at any moment? Here is our list of top P250 skins. We’ll start with #10 and complete our list with what we think are the best P250 skins in CS2. Here! We! Go!

Last, but first on our list. Number 10

Cartel

P250 Cartel, a metallic patina P250 skin in CS2 with Dia De Los Muertos skull and floral design. Popular but declining in value. Starting price: $4.47.

Cartel has a metallic patina and is adorned with flowers and a common Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) skull on the grip.

Usually, the Cartel skin is listed closer to number 1 than number 10. We have it at number 10 for a few factors:

  • Though the skin is very popular, it has declined in value over the last 10 months.
  • It can be pricey for a skin that is declining in value.
  • The “Cartel” design isn’t robust enough for what an accurate cartel pistol would look like. Where is the gold?

Added: November, 11, 2014

Float value range: 0.00 – 0.75

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $4.47

Overall thoughts: It’s cool. But we’d wait to see what the market does before buying this skin, more so because there are nine more choices we’d choose over this one.

Number 9

Nuclear Threat

P250 Nuclear Threat, a spray-painted radiological warning hazard P250 skin in CS2. Pricey but cool in a Chernobyl-style aesthetic. Starting price: $31.94.

Nuclear Threat is another skin that is typically found a bit higher, or in our case, lower, on a list of best P250 skins. Its skin is spray painted with radiological warning hazard patterns; basic but cool in a Chernobyl sort of way.

We’re placing Nuclear Threat at number 9 for a few reasons:

  • It’s actually a pretty pricey skin.
  • Once the float value rises, the cool hazard pattern and green color all but disappear.
  • Over the last couple of years, the price has risen from a lot to even more.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.06 – .080

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $31.94

Overall thoughts: Buy this skin if you have extra cash sitting around and have other skins to play with. This will likely rise in value. However, the average player should scroll down a bit further for better overall value.

Coming in at número ocho

Muertos

P250 Muertos, a red and skull-themed P250 skin in CS2 with a stable value and striking design. Great for resale and popularity. Starting price: $4.73.

Hola Muertos. This skin was, ironically, born in 2015. Its death theme really reminds us of the Cartel skin, holding the place of number 10 on our list. This “product red” skin is, well, very red. Some would say, “muy rojo.”

So why does the Muertos skin beat Cartel in our list of best P250 skins in CS2? Because:

  • The value over the last few years has remained relatively stable.
  • As the float increases, the only change is that the pistol’s trigger, safety, etc., turn silver, which looks cool and is exactly how the Nuclear Threat skin comes with 0 floats.
  • It’s very popular. So you won’t have any trouble reselling it.

Added: January 8, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.60

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $4.73

Overall thoughts: It’s not very expensive. We recommend buying and using this skin. It goes from good-looking to good-looking as the float increases.

Lucky number 7

Valence

P250 Valence, an affordable and futuristic P250 skin in CS2 with swirling patterns. Best bang for your buck, cheap and vibrant. Starting price: $0.087.

The Valence skin is underrated in terms of aesthetic design. The futuristic look is quite nice. Take a closer look at the image. See those swirls right about the grip? Really, take a look. But not for too long, you’ll get lost in there.

The reason we’ve place Valence at number 7 is:

  • It’s cheap. And we mean really cheap. Walk around outside long enough and you’ll find enough change on the ground to buy it.
  • As the float rises, the only thing that mostly changes is the vibrance of the colors. Once that happens, sell it and buy another one.

Added: April 15, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.80

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $0.087

Overall thoughts: The design is likely the best bang for your buck on this list. However, this skin is a buy and use skin. With the low cost, there is no reason to buy it and try to flip it for some quick change.

Coming in at number 6

Wingshot

P250 Wingshot, a hydrographic P250 skin in CS2 that improves visually with higher float levels. Inexpensive and popular. Starting price: $1.26.

Wingshot has an appearance that was created using a hydrographic technique. It’s one of the few P250 skins in CS2 that look better the more the float increases.

We aren’t thrilled to see another skull on the grip. However,  there are several reasons this skin is ranked here:

  • This is the only skin we posted an image of with a high level of float.
  • The skin is reasonably priced.
  • Wingshot is very popular. So you won’t have trouble finding it at any float level.

Added: September 17, 2015

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.90

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $1.26

Overall thoughts: Because it is inexpensive, very popular, and looks better at a higher float level, which means we prefer the cheaper options. Wingshot is a gun you buy and play with as much as possible.

The midway point. Number 5

Modern Hunter

P250 Modern Hunter, an investment-worthy camouflage P250 skin in CS2 with a rising value. Great for collectors. Starting price: $14.24.

Modern Hunter is a very expensive skin. The skin has a camouflaged hydrographic paint style. It was first seen, or shall we say, unseen in 2013.

With such a high price tag, here’s why we put Modern Hunter at number 5:

  • The price has drastically risen over the past year. This is a great investment skin.
  • To a certain extent, as the float rises, it’s camouflaged by the, well, camouflage. The wear and tear appears to become part of the skin’s paint job.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.06 to 0.80

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $14.24

Overall thoughts: We recommend this skin as an investment skin. If you have the extra cash, pick one up, hold onto it, and sell it in 6 months to buy half the skins on this list.

Pop. Pop. Popping up at number 4

Gun Smoke

P250 Gunsmoke, an elegant and menacing P250 skin in CS2 with swirling patterns resembling waves. Good for trading or investment. Starting price: $1.26.

Gunsmoke is a very nice skin that looks both elegant and menacing. The trippy swirl patterns remind us more of waves than smoke. Nonetheless, it’s how it looks, not what it’s called.

Gunsmoke could have been number 5. However, we put it 1 place ahead of Modern Hunter because:

  • This skin is also very popular, so you won’t have trouble trading it.
  • It’s much cheaper than Modern Hunter. Yet, the value is rising at a similar rate.

Added: August 14, 2013

Float value range: 0.06 to 0.80

StatTrak™ available: no

Starting price: $1.26

Overall thoughts: This skin can be an investment skin that you play with. Up to you.

3rd time’s the charm

Asiimov

P250 Asiimov, a sci-fi P250 skin in CS2 with vibrant colors and sleek design. Beautiful and highly popular among players. Starting price: $1.61.

Asimov comes in at number 3. The skin’s name, colors, and style scream CS2. The sleek, sci-fi design and vibrant colors make this skin extremely desirable.

We’re placing Asiimov at number 3 because:

  • It is very reasonably priced. And very popular.
  • The design is one of our favorites. Very beautiful.
  • As the float rises, it doesn’t have much impact on the skin’s beauty up until a certain point, of course. But that point is very high.

Added: April 28, 2016

Float value range: 0.10 to 1.00

StatTrak™ available: yes

Starting price: $1.61

Overall thoughts: Just beautiful. We recommend buying this skin and showing it off by playing with it. Doesn’t get much better than this.

Almost number 1, but not number 1. Coming in at number 2

Whiteout

P250 Whiteout, a clean and minimalist P250 skin in CS2 that evolves into a rugged look with increased float. Great as an investment or for gameplay. Starting price: $33.72.

Whiteout; so clean and simple. We are in love with this skin. There’s just something about the peaceful, minimalist design painted on a tool used to create chaos that attracts me to it.

Whiteout is at number 2 as we feel:

  • The skin goes from a simple, peaceful look to an aggressive, rugged look as the float increases. Both amazing.
  • It also is a bit pricey. However, over its lifetime, the price has only risen. A side note: over the past week, the price has dipped a bit. Perfect time to pick one up.
  • Despite the price, it’s very popular.

Added: May 26, 2015

Float value range: 0.06 to 0.80

StatTrak™ is available: no

Starting price: $33.72

Overall thoughts: We love it. To hold on to as an investment skin or to play with. It doesn’t matter. Over time, the price may continue to increase whether you use it or not.

And here we are! Number 1.

See Ya Later

P250 See Ya Later, a green and yellow alligator-themed P250 skin in CS2 with a standout design. Top pick for best P250 skin in CS2. Starting price: $2.10.

See Ya Later is our favorite CS2 P250 skin. And by far. The green and yellow-themed skin resembles an alligator. Just looking at the images of all of the skins on this list, See Ya Later seems to pop out. Almost the opposite of number 2, which seems to blend in and disappear.

This skin is number 1 because:

  • Just look at it. It looks amazing. Design and colors.
  • As the float increases, the design on the barrel seems to more closely resemble that of an alligator.
  • The price is amazing for the design. I would expect this to be one of the most expensive skins. However, this simply isn’t the case.

Added: September 14, 2017

Float value range: 0.00 to 0.70

StatTrak™ is available: yes

Starting price: $2.10

Overall thoughts: Go out and grab a couple of these. Buy them all. Hoard them. Use them. Cherish them. Treat them like they will disappear tomorrow. Treat them like they will never disappear. If you didn’t follow that. Understand this. Go! Get! One!
