Best Negev Skins in CS2: Top 10 Ranked Designs for 2025

The Negev gun in CS2 is quite popular as, at close range, the Negev does a high level of damage. With a mix of a high firing rate and large magazine capacity, the Negev is an excellent choice for smokes and cover fire. However, don’t expect to move around as quickly as you can with some other guns. And just hope your opponent doesn’t catch you by surprise, as it’s likely too late by the time you get the Negev humming and under control.

Aside from the pros and cons of using the Negev, one pro that doesn’t affect the Negev itself is its skins. It took us some time to create our top 10 list, as there were 2 additional skins we wanted to include. As we narrowed the list down from our 12 favorites to our top 10, we found ourselves changing the order slightly several times. Nonetheless, we finally landed on our list of top 10 Negev skins in CS2.

Why people prefer one skin over the other

Before we jump into our list, we’d like to discuss why people, including us, lean toward one skin over another. The reason can be a single reason or a combination of any of the points below:

• Colors – Earth tones to vibrant colors, skins cover a broad range of colors and hues.

• Themes – Futuristic to animal themes and almost everything in between.
• Rarity – Consumer Grade to Contraband.
• Value – A few pennies to tens of thousands of dollars.
• Trends – Being used by pro players to streamers.
• Sentimental Value – Memorable drops to milestones.

Best Negev Skins in CS2

There are currently 22 Negev skins available, meaning more than 50% didn’t make our list. Based on the criteria we listed above, we were easily able to exclude 5 or 6. Then, we had to take a deeper look into the specifics of each skin. We would like to note, for our list, we’ve excluded sentimental value as a reason any skin is on the list. Having said that, let’s jump in!

Starting with #10. We want to try to build some suspense as you scroll.

Coming in first but last on our list. At number 10

dev_texture

The dev_texture skin has a distinctive “developer” orange, white, and gray theme. There are a couple of technical inscriptions directly above the trigger. In our opinion, the design gives the Negev a very strong and sturdy feel, something that can withstand all sorts of punishment.

We have this skin at number 10 because the design is all but destroyed as the float increases. The dev_texture is almost all but wiped away at its highest float level. A “Factory New” dev_texture without StatTrak costs a little more than a dollar, which isn’t bad.

Overall thoughts: Without StatTrak, the “Factory New” dev_texture is a decent buy. However, as the float increases, the overall design is significantly impacted. So much so that we would sell it once it reaches “Minimal Wear” simply to make our next “Factory New” skin almost 50% cheaper.

Number 9 on our lists

Phoenix Stencil

The Phoenix Stencil skin is a unique blend of design elements. It manages to be visually striking without being overwhelming. The combination of red, brown, and yellowish-white hues gives the skin a distinctively cool aesthetic. This coolness is complemented by the use of a pop comic font, which adds a touch of playfulness to the overall design.

We place the Phoenix Stencil skin at number 9 of the cs2 negev skins because, much like the dev_texture skin, this skin is ravaged as the float increases. Thankfully, the float stops at 0.65. Otherwise, it would become a default Negev before maxing out at 1.00. However, a “Factory New” is really a sight to be seen. And owned.

Overall thoughts: As cool as the “Factory New” skin looks, with the float change and starting price hovering below $20, it makes it difficult to place the Phoenix Stencil any lower, or higher on our top 10. However, like the Phoenix itself, the price of this skin has risen nicely. So, it may be a nice investment over time.

Coming in at number 8

Bratatat

The Bratatat is likely the most playful design on our list. With the sound of the Negev written across the gun, it’s tough not to memic that sound while using the Bratatat. The reddish-orange and yellow really help the cartoonish font stand out.

Bratatat is number 8 on our list for several reasons. The design and colorway are very playful. This skin does have a full float range. However, the playful text remains visible even at the maximum float value. This is very important, and that’s why we love this skin.

Overall thoughts: Though the design covers a very minimal amount of the gun, the overall percentage that the design covers doesn’t really drop much at the float peaks. Also, this year, the value of the Bratatat continues to rise. It may be a decent idea to buy 2: a “Battle-Scarred” version to play with and a “Factory New” version to sit on and sell later.

Sitting powerfully at number 7

Power Loader

The Power Loader’s design gives it an industrial, futuristic feel. The vibrant yellow and blues help this skin stand out.

Power Loader is number 7 because we really like how the skin changes as the float increases. The vibrant paint fades and chips away, really heightening the industrial feeling. We actually prefer the “Battle-Scarred” look a bit more. And at a starting price of under a buck, this is definitely a buy-and-use skin.

Overall thoughts: We love the fact that the “Battle-Scarred” look is our favorite. It’s cheaper and we can play with it as much as we like without risking changing a skin design we love.

Melting the number 6 position

Nuclear Waste

Every inch of the Nuclear Waste skin is covered in yellow and brown radiation hazard signs. This may be a bit too much, to the point that the bullets look photoshopped.

This skin is number 6 on our list of the best negev skins because, like the Power Loader, the skin design gets more and more beautiful as the float increases.

Starting price: $1.38

Overall thoughts: This is another buy-and-play with skin. The highest amount of float is where this skin looks best. There’s no reason to leave it sitting in your inventory. However, over the last year, the price has almost doubled. So, just letting a “Factory New” version sit for a while may not be a bad idea either.

Reaching the halfway point at number 5

Bulkhead

The Bulkhead is another skin on our list that has an industrial design. The bright yellow goes well with the varying hues of browns and tans. Unlike the Power Loader, we don’t like how the skin looks as its float increases.

However, we like Bulkhead at number 5 because of the “Factory New” style and price. It’s tough to beat the look vs. the cost.

Overall thoughts: This is a very inexpensive, good looking skin. We suggest buying a few at “Factory New”, playing with them, then selling them to make the next couple of “Factory New” versions you buy a bit cheaper. Cheaper than cheap, we mean.

In at number 4

Dazzle

The Dazzle skin is a nature-themed skin sporting a black-and-white zebra camouflage design. This skin really stands out by mixing the zebra skin concept with the camouflage design. If all the stripes were heading in the same direction, it would work as wonderfully as it does now.

We place Dazzle at number 4 because this skin stands out against the others. Its price point is great, and it seems to be rising in value over time.

Overall thoughts: As there is no “Factory New” version of this skin and the price is very inexpensive, we say buy and play away.

It’s no secret which skin comes in at number 3

Loudmouth

Loudmouth is a themed cartoonish design that depicts a huge face screaming out flames. This skin isn’t available in a “Factory New” version. And we really like that. 

We almost put Loudmouth at number 1. However, obviously, we think 3 other skins are better.  We think Loudmouth sits nicely at the fourth best negev skins cs2. because of it’s amazing design and more amazing price. And because it’s not available at “Factory New”, there’s no fear of tarnishing a nice design.

Overall thoughts: We love the design and the yellow colorway. The only thing that prevents the Loudmouth skin from ranking higher is the price difference between “Minimal Wear” and “Field Tested.” The simple fact is that the design difference isn’t worth the price difference, going from one skin quality to the next. However, it’s still a great skin.

Almost best, but not. At number 2

Lionfish

The Lionfish has a design inspired by a lionfish, as the name suggests. The bright orange and white stripes covering every inch of this skin are a sight to behold, and the float only improves the look.

Lionfish is the second-best skin because its price has decreased over the last three months. It is inexpensive and looks best “Battle-Scarred.” It is the perfect combination of buy now and play.

Overall thoughts: Amazing. This would be number 1 without, well, number 1 existing. Because this skin looks its best at its highest float level, you only have to buy it once. And since it’s cheap and getting cheaper, there’s no reason to buy a “Factory New” and sit on it.

The best and not the rest. We present number 1

Mjölnir

The Mjölnir is king of the hill and number 1 on our list of best negev skins. The skin is visually stunning. The well-crafted detailed patterns and mythological motifs really help it stand out from all of the other guns. However, that does come at a cost. 

This skin is at the bottom or top of our list because its design is simply amazing. The colors, patterns, and designs all come together to create an almost majestic appearance.

Overall thoughts: This is an investment skin. Try to find one at “Factory New” and sit on it. You may be able to flip it and, with the profit, buy every other gun on this list multiple times.
